Sad news, the 280Z (actually a 300Z) is out of commission and it will cost more than I want to spend, blew a piston. I included a picture of it in case anybody is interested in buying it to fix it up. I already have an El Camino I need to find an engine for and I don’t need more than one project car at a time. So I have decided instead to start collecting mustangs for my dream collection. I want at least one from every release period. I definately want one from 1964 and 2002, I haven’t decided what years I want from the other release periods so I am open to what is available. Do you have an old mustang you want to sell? Let me know if you find out about any mustangs for sale, especially 1964 or 2002. If you have any advice on which years or models to stay away from or aim for, tell me! I have been told that the 1974-1978 era was a flop and I should stay away from them. I may still get one later anyway to have comparison of mustang’s worst and best, but for now I want good cars that will work. Keep me informed of what you see that is available…..
My dad is passing on his Chevrolet El Camino to me because he bought a new full ton Chevy truck. It was supposed to be my first car when I got my license, but the last mechanic that worked on it did more harm than good and now it may need a new engine. Unfortunately, it has been sitting for so long now that the wheels look like they are bending outward. If I hadn’t stopped him, my dad was going to trade in the El Camino but I begged him to keep it for me. I mean, how often do you see those older model cars now, a 1969 Chevy is a classic now and so much better then those Ford Rancheros :-p Sorry Ford lovers, I just don’t like the Ranchero, but don’t hate me for that.
So now, I need help restoring a 69 El Camino. Hehe, with 69 its gotta be fun! But really it is going to be lots of work. Rather than going to any regular mechanic and risking more damage to my classic, I am in the market for a mechanic that knows older cars, talk to me…………post comment if you know of an engine I can use or someone that has experience with classics…
My brother just got into an accident with his 280Z. I’m so sad, I want that car! It wasn’t too bad, just dinged up one corner. My dad got a deal on two of them that were pretty worn out and gave the tan one to my brother when he got his license and my mom got the blue one. Both of them need engine work, but the blue one cannot run at the moment. If only he would have given one to me…I have an idea, maybe I can talk my brother into switching cars with me since my car runs better. If he does I will need help restoring a 280Z also. Keep your fingers crossed for me…
