Lots happening in Burlesque for the month of April!  I love to go these dance shows, I even got to know some of the dancers of the Black Cherry Burlesque.  They let me hang out backstage with them before the show & during intermission in exchange for helping clean the stage between acts.  Black Cherry Burlesque troup is having a guest dancer from the Scandalesque troup which I am going to go see.  Pyra Sutra, the Scandalesque guest, is a famed jazz dancer and I’m sure I will love her act.  Then, Pyra Sutra is hosting a dance class a couple weeks later.  I am so going to be there to learn more about the art of Burlesque dance.  I took some dance classes in college and wish I had time to do more.  I want to network with Pyra Sutra from Scandalesque so I can get involved with more events and meet more dancers.  Maybe eventually I will get to perform my own act for a Burlesque show someday. 

I’m going to Kanye West Glow In The Dark Tour and I can’t wait!  He is performing with N.E.R.D. and Lupe Fiasco.  I bearly got tickets for the Kanye concert before they sold out!  It was such a hassle because the tickets were only available online and the link for them wasn’t working. When the link finally was working the website had issues and would not finish my purchase transaction - I’m sure it was a combination of to many people trying to get tickets at the same time and the web managers were slacking.  So when I tried again later I finally finished my purchase, but I ended up with not the greatest seats.  I’ll probably be wondering around in the crowd at the concert trying to get closer to the stage.

Went to a commedy club this weekend to see Charlie Murphy in his act titled True Hollywood Stories.  I was expecting it to be like those couple episodes he did on the Chappelle Show about Rick James, telling crazy Hollywood stories about celebrities getting messed up and acting stupid the whole time.  He did tell some stories, but also did a little bit of is regular commedy routine and it was funny.  The show was great and my cheeks were hurting from laughing so much.  The line that stuck in my head was,  “saw her in half with my dick.”  That just made me bust out laughing.  To my entertainment, he is not the only man that thinks that would be awesome.  When I was telling people about his act, they agreed that he voiced a fantasy held by many men.  I can understand it being a power trip, but that is pretty dramatic and I find it hilarious.
