I am very excited to announce I walked in my first official Runway Fashion Show. I wore a beautiful gold dress that everybody said was perfect for my long blonde hair. I got a picture of myself on the phone camera before going on the catwalk that I can post today and I should be getting at least one photo of me walking or posed in the garment I walked in. The show was pretty well organized and went smoothly.
I loved the dress and it fit me perfect!
I had a great time at the show. My designer was very down to earth and easy going. She is one of my heroines for taking on models that don’t fit the ‘typical’ mold of 5′8″ In all honesty I think the fashion industry is vastly changing and soon there will be opportunity for all shapes and sizes, but for now I know the tall skinny size zero models will always be employed lol. They actually do have other fashion runway shows for the not so high fashion sizes. Just wait, there will be voluptuous full figure women bouncing down the runways making guys forget about the clothing hehe. But in all seriousness, the show was a great experience and I met a couple new model friends and reacquainted with old model friends
The catwalk was set up at the Barrett Jackson showroom and I could see the car garage from where our designer was set up. It was really exciting! They had some pretty sweet cars back there! If you ask me we got the best spot in the house! We were right behind the stage too so we did not have to go very far. It got a little crazy when the owner and shop workers started going through our area to the garage while we were changing for the show, but it was worth it. It would have been the best thing in the world if I had happened to see my wishlist car from the Barrett Jackson showroom, the 1969 Mustang! That would have just put me in heaven, my day could not have gotten any better.
It was a great experience and I cannot wait for the next one!
How many of you have gone to a Fetish Ball/Convention?
I found out about these events through a photographer I know and work with - speaking of which I got images from him and am working on posting them ;) He told me about the events and I became intrigued. I do fetish themed shoots with him so I was learning the culture through working with him. I came to enjoy our photo shoots so much I wanted to go to an event and learn more, meet more people.
I just recently attended a local Fetish Ball and had a great time! I dressed a bit on the subtle side because I wasn’t sure what to expect and it was too cold to wear what I wanted to lol. I’m not a fan of the cold so I dress warm when I go out winter nights. I wish the photo showed my red vinyl boots I wore, but you will see those in other pictures I will be posting
The shows were very energetic and interesting. The vendors had some great stuff with which I have great desire to add to my wardrobe. There was a chain mail skirt that I will be going back to the vendor for to match my chain mail bra - talk about a great costume! I cannot wait to do photo shoot with that stuff!
Now that I have gone and know what to expect, I will definitely have more fun with my costume next time! I met some great people, turns out everybody is really open and friendly. This was funny to me because some people looked very intimidating in their costumes, but they were kind and I was able to easily connect with them. I think people are open and friendly because they are with others that share their interests. Who would get dressed up in some crazy costume and go out only to be mean and cold to others who dress up like you? I was even very open about it being my first time there and they were very supportive and reassuring that this was a fun place.
One of the biggest lessons the fetish photographer has taught me is that fetish is all about pleasure, not torture. Fetish must be Sane, Sensual, and most importantly Consented. Nobody is pushed or persuaded into doing something they are not comfortable with at these events. If you want to be a silent observer you are welcome to just watch. If you want to experience or tryout some new things you are guided and nurtured. It is a great expereince and I recomend anybody interested or curious to go check it out and meet some fun people.
Lastly, I want to clarify I am a fashion model, not a fetish model. I do fetish fashion, but I am not a fetish model. A fetish model is on another level, a different form of modeling and I do not promote myself as fetish model, I am a fashion model.
Have you ever seen me in curls?
Well now you finally get to see my hair styled in curls. The curls got so overwhelming for me I had to pull them back into a clip to keep them out of my face!
I worked a Hair Show Monday and got my hair styled by the professional and charming Ted Gibson. He was great to work with and I very much enjoyed having him style my hair. He had a booth at a cosmetology convention and he was the only one who had live models (like me) to show people how he worked with hair. Other booths had wigged mannequins and some did work on the patrons attending the convention (nail polish and make up). There was even a booth dedicated to hair extensions and asked me to stand by them for while, but that would have been false advertising I think. I was constantly assuring people it was my natural hair and I had no extension and no coloring, I guess they term it ‘virgin hair’ which I guess seems fitting :) After having my hair styled I got to walk around the convention to explore what others had to offer and got some free samples and met some very cool people. Some of the vendors near Ted Gibson tried to convince me to let him cut my hair, but I am not ready to let go of my luxurious locks. As I walked around I acted as a brand ambassador and told people about his products and I was of course a walking advertisement for his styling work. People loved my hair and I felt like ‘Hollywood Glam’. A few people said my hair looked bigger than my body - which if you had seen it before it started going flat you would probably definitely agree. I love my hair in curls, but I now understand how much of a chore and hassle it can be and I was just working in it for few hours. So needless to say, I love my naturally straight hair and I sympathize for those who fight with naturally curly hair daily. Check out my curly hair pictures in my Casual Gallery.
I am so thankful for all of you who enjoy reading, Happy Holidays!
I am not sure how long my site will be down, but I wanted to keep posting blogs anyway since I found out they are viewable from the archives link. This month has been crazy busy already and its only a little over a week in!

The last day of May I had a sports photoshoot at the park. I had a lot of fun and was surprised how well I can still hit the ball! I pulled out all my softball equipment from storage in order to be fully prepared for this shoot. I even went so far as to pull out an old jersey from my softball years. For those of you who are not familiar or have not seen softball, that black thing around my ankle is a slidding pad :-) I was hoping to try to get some action shots of me slidding into a base, but we ran short on time and I decided not to risk getting all bruised & scratched up. If I come across my old action photos from the days when I did play I will post them for you guys. Just standing at the plate like that for posing made me reminisce how much I miss it - the athleticism, the competition, the feeling of acomplishment. I did love softball, the only reason I left was because the competition began to grow inside the team - what the *!@# right?! Competition was supposed to be between teams to win the game. It was not just on one team either, after too extreme cases in a row I decided it wasn’t worth it anymore. Girls can be evil! My breaking point was when my teammate nailed me square in the back (hitting the spine) with a softball during warmups. Can you believe that?! I am by nature a gentle and forgiving person, but I had to have 3 teammates and my coach hold me back because she was laughing as I collapsed in pain! Needless to say, I still miss the other aspects of playing.
Then this past weekend, first weekend of June, I went to another workshop. This one was for just women and it was made possible by the “i thrive” team. They did a great job and picked a great location, the spa resort was incredible and I hope to go back for a photoshoot there. The day was great as well with great speakers that were truely inspiring and motivational! To your success!
Remember when I wrote about the Wealthy Warrior seminar I was going to hosted by T. Harv Ekerd, author of Secrets of Millionaire Mind…well I could not get enough. I went to his Millionaire Mind Intensive workshop and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life! There is nothing like that event. But you have to be a participant or your negative energy will not be welcomed. He teaches how to live without working the rest of your life - now who wouldn’t want that?! Not saying you cannot work, but wouldn’t it be nice to do the work you WANTED to do rather than HAVE to work for your money. Passive income is the answer. The wealthy warrior lives the lifestyle they want and works the jobs they want. This workshop gets you in the right mindset to look for opportunity and teaches how to use passive income to acheive the lifestyle you wish to have. I know that appeals to some if not all of you…so go check it out, there is a link over to the left under my favorite links. I also have a limited supply of complimentary tickets to gift out for those that are truely interested, let me know.

This is truely life changing, don’t hesitate!
